I am the ICP Section Lead, responsible for the ICP Lab in the Environmental and Biochemical Sciences Group. I have been working in the ICP Lab for eleven years and as such have vast experience in dealing with a wide variety of samples and matrices.
The ICP Lab currently consists of an Optima 5300DV Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), a Perkin Elmer Avio 500 ICP-OES, an Agilent 7700 Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) and a Perkin Elmer NexIon 2000 ICP-MS.
As well as analysis, the ICP lab can also provide digestion techniques including LiBO2 fusion and Microwave digestion.
I am able to provide analytical quotations to commercial and internal customers as well as discuss your analysitcal needs/problems and results. I am the internal contact for any issues relating to UKAS balances and am also a Fire Warden. I am currently a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
I am also able to provide assistance in a range of water chemistry analyses including with use of theKonelab Discrete Analyser, the Dionex DX600 and the Shimadzu TOC as well as several sample digestion techniques.
